Volunteers may choose to aid the San Antonio community through selection of one of TEN service projects partnered with multiple non-profits across Bexar County. Breakfast tacos, event exclusive t-shirts, and transportation to and from volunteer sites (from the campus rally) will be provided to all participants. This event is open to students, friends, family, faculty, staff, alumni, and any community guests who wish to attend.

Message sent to Registrants:

Thank you for registering for Choose. Act. Impact. Fall 2019: Ten Ways to Serve! We cannot wait to work with you to make a difference in the greater San Antonio community. Check-in for this event will take place directly outside the West entrance of the Science and Technology Building. This point is directly adjacent to parking lot #2. Please arrive between 7:15 and 8:00 a.m., so that we may check you in and provide you with you with an official Choose. Act. Impact t-shirt. Breakfast tacos and Starbucks coffee will also be available for all volunteers, and will be served in the SciTech West Lobby.

Attached is a parking pass that will allow volunteers to park in Lot #2, next to the rally site. Please print a copy of this document and display it in your windshield. If you are unable to print a copy prior to the event, do not worry, we will have a stack printed for our guests.

We ask that all volunteers wear close-toed sturdy shoes, and pants (or other protective leg covering) to avoid injury while completing volunteer work. While water will be provided at all sites, we recommend bringing a refillable water container with you to assure that you remain hydrated. Sunscreen and bug spray is recommended for all volunteers that have signed up to complete outside shifts.

Please feel free to contact me at christina.guerra@tamusa.edu if you have any questions whatsoever. We look forward to seeing you bright and early Saturday morning!
