Waller Creek - CLEAN UP

Saturday, November 5th, 2016 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

The Waller Creek Conservancy & Generation Waller invite you out to EXPLORE and CLEAN UP our favorite hidden urban trail along Waller Creek. The Conservancy's mission focuses on transforming and sustaining Austin’s Waller Creek creating an extraordinary urban place that connects, surprises, and inspires all of us. This includes an effort to connect 1.5 miles along the stream with a series of parks and trails through the heart of downtown from Lady Bird Lake all the way up to the University of Texas.

We're going to focus on the trail along Waller Creek north of 6th Street up to Waterloo Park. This trail system is a hidden gem in a busy, bustling city with cool breezes, limestone outcrops and the soft squeak of free-tail bats under bridges. And because it's in an urban area collects a lot of trash and debris. To tackle this we’ll have two teams dedicated to different zones; be prepared to get dirty, maybe a little wet and to develop a new relationship with your urban creek!

Meet just north of Waller Creek Pub House next to large live oak.
