Nationally, 20% of all children who experience homelessness will fail their grade. Help break this cycle by assisting elementary-aged children to complete their homework at our Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC). This opportunity is ideal for high school and college students as well as adults who enjoy tutoring high energy children. Most if not all of our children are extremely friendly and would love to meet a new face to learn more about their school studies from.
If you plan to volunteer more than once for this opportunity you will be required to complete a background check. The dress code for volunteering with us is as follows:
Acceptable: Individuals should dress business casual-casual; T-shirts, polos, and blouses; Blue jeans, khakis, Capri pants, skirts, and shorts no more than 2 inches above the knee when appropriate for volunteer activity.
Unacceptable: Spaghetti straps, sleeveless blouses, crop tops, low cut shirts, and sheer/see-through clothing; Pants with large holes or tears, and shorts that are more than 2 inches above the knees or during an inappropriate setting.
