CorazonSA Ministries Vehicle Detail to serve our Street Friends!

We have been serving the unhoused and marginalized vulnerable population in the downtown and surrounding areas of San Antono for 26+ years. We provide many services to them and have 9 vehicles that we utilize for various things such as: food transportation 5 days a week from Travis Park Church, where we prep and cook a hot meal for lunch Mon-Fri, and transport it to our Day Center at Grace Lutheran Church. We pick-up orders at the SA Food Bank and other stores for those meals. We also use the vehicles to pick- up donations for our non-profit both to our on-site and off-site storage. We use the vehicles to provide outreach (food, clothing, medical treatment to our street friends who would otherwise not go to a clinic or hospital, and who live in highly populated areas such as tent encampments or under bridges who try to stay off the grid, but who desperately need care. Daily we need transportation for our clients to and from facilities all over town to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, to appointments to help them with services to help them find temporary and permanent housing, plus multiple other reasons. Many of our clients are mobility challenged and need assistance with these trips. We need to have these 9 vehicles cleaned, sanitized and detailed to keep them clean and ready for all of our uses for our clients. THIS PROJECT WILL BE 100% OUTSIDE. Please wear clothing/shoes that you are not concerned with getting dirty or wet from washing the vehicles. We will provide the items needed to do this project. We will provide drinks and light snacks. Please bring anything that you need other than these refreshments. Wear hats or caps in case it is extremely hot on that day.
