About
VITA San Antonio is a collaboration of public and private entities dedicated to family and individual financial self-sufficiency. Other partners, such as local colleges and universities, local financial institutions and other non-profit organizations provide support in a variety of ways to the Coalition. The goal of VITA is to increase the financial stability of working individuals and families in San Antonio & Bexar County. The focal point for this effort is the Coalition’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. VITA is a vital part of the Coalition effort.
You are able to volunteer if you are 16 years of age and older. The first step is to create a username and password. Next, you will be taken to the registration page. VITA will need you to answer a few questions. After you have filled out the registration to become a volunteer, you will be contacted in November, via email, to pick a training class.
The trainings consist of 16 - 20 hours. There are two trainings available to choose from.
