Kids Day In the Park

About

Description
Saturday, April 22, 2017 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Rosedale Park A FREE and FUN FAMILY EVENT!! Food – Entertainment – Information Booths – Fun Dear Volunteer, April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and for many years the San Antonio Association for the Education of Young Children (SAAEYC) has hosted Kids’ Day in the Park. This fun filled day, which happens during the Week of the Young Child, helps support nurturing, healthy families as we promote healthy caregiving practices and activities. Members of non-profit, childcare centers, arts, cultural, health, and social service communities will provide FREE, fun, developmentally appropriate activities for young children (birth – 10 years of age) and their families. Partners share art projects, games, special activities, an array of performances and many other surprises. Last year, over 7,000 people attended. As you can imagine, with this many people at the event, we need as many volunteers as possible to make this event a success! Volunteers are needed from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. We have divided the day into three different shifts. Shift 1: 7:30am-11:30am (Volunteers set-up the event area, and help things run smoothly) Shift 2: 11:00am-3:00pm (Volunteers help the event run smoothly; then assist with clean up and tear down) Shift 3: 7:30am-3pm (Volunteers help with all aspects of event) Kids’ Day in the Park is an SAAEYC event, co-sponsored by KLRN. Many people and organizations make this annual event possible
