We Honor the Veterans at Heartland Hospice

About

Heartland Hospice provides hospice care wherever our patients call home, wherever they find the greatest comfort. Caregivers help manage pain and symptoms, enabling patients to live life as fully and comfortably as possible. Social workers and spiritual counselors create a comforting environment, and special bereavement programs provide emotional support to patients and families. Volunteers are valuable members of the hospice team and have the opportunity to enrich the lives of others! Our Vets-to-Vets Volunteer program matches U.S. military veteran patients with volunteers with similar backgrounds. Please consider becoming a Heartland Hospice Volunteer. We have an immediate need for volunteers to serve as friendly visitors for patients in their homes or at a skilled nursing facility. We are recruiting volunteers to assist with our We Honor the Veterans program. Whether it’s visiting patients, honoring our veteran patients at a military pinning ceremony, providing office assistance, or special projects your gifts are priceless! Please contact Marissa Lyttle, Volunteer Coordinator, at 843-766-7646 to learn how to become a volunteer with Heartland Hospice. You can also email marissa.lyttle@hcr-manorcare.com for more information.
