UTSA Day of Service (In Honor of President Eighmy)


President Eighmy’s vision for UTSA as an exemplary urban-serving university of the future has inspired new focus on the university’s service to the local community, deeming 2018 the year of service. The highlight of the year will be UTSA’s Day of Service in honor of the Inauguration of President Taylor Eighmy.

Main Campus Shuttles: 7:45am
Shuttles will leave from Main Campus in front of the Convocation Center promptly at 7:45am to the Downtown Campus for the Kick-Off event that starts at 8:30am.

Downtown Kick-Off: 8:30am-9:15am
-Check in to your particular service project table (receive supplies for your project if needed)
-pick up your Day of Service t-shirt (if you have not done so already)
-Food and drinks are provided
-Remarks from President Eighmy

Downtown Shuttles:
From Downtown: Shuttles will leave promptly at 9:15am to arrive at your particular project.

Agency Assignments:
You should have received an email regarding your placement from UTSAEngaged. Check your clutter or junk mail if you did not find your project location email from UTSAEngaged.

If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, please email as soon as possible.

Adjustments to group participants:
Please notify us of updated, accurate numbers of your group size if adjustments are needed as soon as possible.

Day of Service shirts:
Shirts will be available for pick up at the Day of Service Kick-Off Breakfast. 

What to wear:
During the Day of Service projects, all participants should wear the Day of Service t-shirt, comfortable closed toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
