Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc.



Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. (RMI) assists adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to reach their maximum level of independence.

RMI serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential, day habilitation and vocational services. 
  • Residential programs include group homes, semi-independent apartment living, supported home living and foster home supports.
  • Day Habilitation programs are conducted in two locations, offered M-F, 9am - 3pm.
  • Vocational supports are offered to individuals with IDD who have or are seeking employment

RMI serves children and adults with disabilities through educational outreach programs:
  • Fiesta Especial
  • AccessAbility fest
  • transitional youth services (summer day habilitation programing and through working with the local schools)

RMI seeks one-time and long-term volunteers and has opportunities on a daily, weekly, monthly and one-time event-centered basis.  Volunteers can serve in the office, program and special event capacities.
