My fraternity brother (Zander Cosgrove) and I volunteered at Crownridge Canyon National Area this morning from 8:00am-12:00 pm. The following task we to complete were using wheelbarrows to transfer "mulch"(soil enriching woodchips) from one area to multiple other areas. We then were asked to spread out the mulch under and around plants and trees. I signed the volunteer sheet as well as took a group picture as proof of my participation. I chose to do this community service as credit towards my AIS course with Professor Malagamba. The Professor that lead us today was Professor Valerie Sponsel.
