Though it was a rainy day, volunteering at the Easter Egg hunt was an enjoyable experience that reinforced the values of teamwork and communication. The festive event required a lot of coordination and intricate planning. Without the help of many enthusiastic volunteers, the event would not have gone as well as it did. I left with a positive experience and I hope to return next again next year.
It was nice to give back to the community. I helped stuff plastic Easter eggs for children of a youth center. I also took some candy of my own to help out and contribute to the cause. It was a nice experience to help out those who need it more.
During this event I helped the staff of the River City Youth Foundation stuff easter eggs with candy.
I was granted the opportunity to be a mentor to a young girl in Dove Springs area.
This was the first time that I volunteered that involved children. It was definitely an experience that I thought I wouldn't enjoyed.
At this event, me and my TIP group assisted children of a variety of ages to prepare, decorate, and create treats and cards for their loved ones. We helped make chocolate cover strawberries, decorated cupcakes, assisted them if they need help in making a specific card or ideas to come up with, and then clean and play with them.
Awesome experience! We got to help set up tables, decorate the technology room, set up the computers and tablets! It was really fun!
It was really fun! Especially since I was able to stick with my group and we were able to help out set up the technology section, distribute toys, and help make hundreds of hot dogs!
This was really fun, I was able to set up and make food for the hundreds of people who came to this event. Although I signed up for the 4 hour shift, my ride there signed up for the 6 hour shift and that is why I was there at a time that I did not sign up for.
