Event Description | Learn about native plants and agricultural plant wonders while helping us maintain our demonstration gardens on the Herff Farm in the Teaching Garden. You'll work alongside experienced members of the Cibolo Nature Center and Farm, weed, water, and trim our plants on our grounds. No experience required - we'll teach you what you need to know! Volunteers should dress for the weather and consider wearing a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. If you have gardening gloves and hand tools, please bring them, otherwise, they will be provided for you. This volunteer opportunity is approved for Master Naturalist volunteer hours. Please bring a face mask and a water container. For groups of more than 5 people, please contact our volunteer director Laurie L Brown at laurie@cibolo.org to ensure we have proper accommodations for your group. |
