Great time at the park!
I volunteered as a Sustainability Squad member for the March 11th baseball game.
The park clean up was a very interesting experience. For the first time, I was exposed to a new environment where I get to see the Goat cave up close and learn about the importance of the root system and the plants that provided the support. Throughout my time volunteering, I help relocate several plant species the hope rebuilt the ecosystem of the park.
Today at the garden, I was put in the chores of turning the soil and rooting the nut grass which was invading the space for the plants to grow. As I as turning the soil, the plants that will be growing on the plot will provide fresh organic vegetable for the senior center who's patient are with fix income.
The Texas Tribute Festival was one of the most exciting event that I had ever volunteer. Filled with many debate, I was place to help escort the panels to the Texas Union theater and manage the guests for the events.
