I had fun meeting a lot of people at the Big Medium. It was a totally different experience for me since I have never participated in an art exhibition. I volunteered to help people purchase art and donate to the exhibition. I also helped people to find places and know more about the event. I would recommend others to go visit and even volunteer if they have the chance.

I volunteered for Texas Preview for the Office of Financial Aid. It is an event where parents and incoming students come and learn about Financial Aid. I helped conduct a presentation and participated in a brief question and answer period. I have been working in the Financial Aid office since May and love informing others about the process and aid offered. Any questions, contact vcastro@austin.utexas.edu.
SXSW was a tiring but fun experience. I got to meet and help a lot of people with their SXSW necessities.
I enjoyed packaging traveling kits for the needy and writing holiday note cards to them.
I had fun today cleaning up the garden & pulling out weeds. The organizers also talked about the importance of having the garden in our community which I thought was valuable information.
I volunteered to sign in the families attending the info session. I also got to participate in a conversation where I got to meet them and get to know their story.
I wrote a ton of letters to the troops. I also met a lot of students from the UT18 cohort.
I have been to Concho before and learned a lot about planting and gardening!
