I helped turn off lights and post sticky notes at the Robert A. Welch (WEL) Hall Building to help promote an awareness of energy and light conservation around the UT campus to university faculty, students, and staff. I helped turn off lights in the classrooms of Welch Hall with a team of individuals. I enjoyed this experience because I have the opportunity to meet new people while making a difference in spreading energy conservation awareness across the campus community.

I helped the UT Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency (LEA) clean up after their Startup Job Fair. I helped throw away leftovers, pick up trash, and sort flyers in the UT LEA office at the SAC. I gained a great sense of community leadership through this activity, and it feels great to make an impact on the UT LEA community through volunteering.

As a mentor for the UT SEEK (Student Engineers Educating Kids) program, I helped children at the Thinkery Austin build bottle rockets from construction paper and tape, before they shot the rocket up with the bottle launcher. I found this experience to be very rewarding and memorable because I really had the opportunity to make an impact on helping little kids work on an engaging project that has roots in STEM and seeing them so excited about getting to take home their own handmade rockets. I am looking forward to participating in future activities at Thinkery Austin.
