    Eduardo @ Explore UT

Volunteering at Explore UT was a lot of fun. I had the chance to both set up and put up tables and chairs for the engineering demonstrations at the event. The best part had to be when we were helping people orient themselves around campus and also helping Design/Build/Fly provide demos to people who were interested. I would definitely do it again.

Texas Football Gameday Sustainability Event 11/7

It was a good experience helping out the Sustainability Squad to try to reach their goal of correctly recycling and composting all thrown materials. It was a bit of hard work but I feel good knowing I made an impact.

    Eduardo @ Longhorn Run

The Longhorn was a great experience that I was privileged to be a part of. It was rewarding setting up the banners where the runners would start and finish the race along with helping fill up water bottles for the runners. I also got to support multiple friends who were participating in the run and I had a lot of fun.

Explore UT - Cockrell School Volunteers

At Explore UT I helped out the organization TAME by demonstrating principles of Gravity and space to children inside the Trailblazer trailer. It was a fun and rewarding experience seeing children be excited about science and learning a few things from the demonstrations I helped to illustrate.

My ULN small group compatriots and I along with my mentor bought some meals from McDonald's and some water bottles to hand them to the homeless in Austin. It was an enlightening experience because we got to see the poor living conditions that some human beings have to live through day by day. It was very satisfying when the people we helped were grateful for the help we provided them with and it was nice talking to them and bonding with them by taking pictures and just talking to them about life.

I volunteered as a bouncer for the engineering career Expo at the Expo center that's by the University of Texas and it was a cool experience. As a freshman I got to see the inner workings of how the expo is run so that next year I will be able to navigate my way through the career fair and be able to find an internship.

UT Athletics Sustainability Squad: Football Volunteering Aug 30

Helping out the sustainability squad was an eye opener to see how far we need to go in order to make our Longhorn stadium a "zero waste" stadium. It was fullfilling because you get a feeling of satisfaction that you're helping make an impact on the sustainability of one of the world's largest stadiums and knowing that you're furthering the goal and objectives of environmentalists everywhere. And you also get to be around amazing people that love giving to the community more than receiving.
