I volunteered weekly at a local elementary school called Summit, with an organization named VSA to interact, read, and spend time with the kids for their after school activities
The clinic that I'm currently doing my experiential learning with was having a meeting night with some of the parents as well as patients from the clinic, and they needed volunteers to watch on their kids. I got to engage myself with activities such as coloring, puzzles, and I even learned to play Domino's for the first time! Also, free food is always a plus!
I volunteered at a local elementary school to assist children with after school activities, such as homework, coloring, readings, etc. It was rewarding to get to spend time with children and somewhat, refresh on a few mathematical concepts that have long lost in my memory.
I volunteer for an Autism Walk, and my job was to help set up the event, as well as picking up trash and cleaning up.
I worked in the Santa Workshop to help kids make crafts, assisted with family photos. It was probably the best volunteer experience I've had
My mentor group and I baked cookies to pass out to students who studied in the FAC for their exams. It was a fun filled, productive experience and everyone had a chance to bond before the end of the first semester!
We volunteered at Summit Elementary School to help assisted kids as well as teachers with their annual Mid- Autumn Festival. It was a fun and energetic event.
