Have you wanted to make a difference in someone's life but didn't know how to get involved? Here's your chance! We are House of Neighborly Service, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering meals to seniors in the Westside area.

Our mission is to bring joy to older adults by providing them with meals they can enjoy. As a volunteer, you will deliver meals in your personal vehicle within the 78207 Zip code. Our meal coolers are 42 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 20 inches deep (Igloo 150-Qt. Maxcold Performance Cooler), and they fit most SUVs and 4-door cars in the back seat or trunk. 

Our older adults are incredible individuals, living through their golden years with grace and determination. Their stories are full of triumphs and challenges, love and loss. If you have a few hours a week to spare, we would love your help! Whether it's driving, delivering meals, or assisting with marketing and special events, we have a place for you.

Volunteer Details:

• Pick-up Location: 407 N. Calaveras, San Antonio, Texas, 78207 (We will meet in the front of the building)
  - Pick-up Time: 10:30 am
  - Route Duration: 1-2 hours
  - Cooler Return: After completing the route

We will provide you with the route, addresses, names, and phone numbers so you can contact the older adults when you arrive.

Hours: You will receive 3 hours of volunteer time per delivery.

Bringing a Guest?: If you plan to bring a guest on your delivery, please ensure they also register and complete the "Agency Volunteer Form". Additionally, notify us of all names in your party so we can record it as one delivery instead of two.

Please complete the "Agency Volunteer Form" after registering for a shift. If you’ve already completed it for previous registrations, you do not need to fill it out again.

Cancellations and Declinations: If your registration is declined or canceled, it may be because we are fully booked for that day or because we will be closed on that date. Thank you for understanding. If you sign up for a Monday shift over the weekend, please plan to arrive on time.
